Dashboards Overview

What are Dashboards?

Dashboards are a completely customizable frontend implementation option that allows you to deliver powerful reporting functionality and interactive data visualizations within your software application.

Check out this short three-part video to see Dashboards in action in our demo environment (1/3):

Use our customizable frontend components to quickly set up default Dashboards for your users, provide flexible templated options, or give your users the option to build their own from scratch.

For step-by-step instructions on how to implement Dashboards, start by selecting your preferred widget library.

What makes Dashboards different?

Dashboards employ the foundational natural language to database query language translation technology behind AutoQL and flexible frontend components so software vendors can embed reporting functionality however they want, within any part of their app interface.

AutoQL Dashboards are:

  • Fast and simple to implement (see our Widgets documentation for details about how to get set up)
  • Highly flexible and customizable (all components are open source)
  • Easy to use and accessible for all types of users

The foundation of our technology is NL to query language translation, which means Dashboards are easily set up and edited through natural language. AutoQL Dashboards handle the nuances of how people communicate so that accessing data via our conversational AI technology is intuitive, easy, and incredibly efficient.

How Dashboards work for you

With Dashboards powered by AutoQL, it’s incredibly simple to create dynamic, at-a-glance overviews that display the metrics that matter most to your users.

Dashboards can be easily implemented wherever, and however, you’d like. Use our completely customizable frontend components to quickly build and deploy a range of default Dashboards to display the information your users regularly request, or give your users the ability to set up their own customized Dashboards using natural language.

How Dashboards work for your users

If you've opted to set up default Dashboards for your users, users can easily stay up-to-date and quickly check in on the metrics that matter most.

Check out how easy it is for you and your users to access and navigate Dashboards (2/3):

If you've opted to enable Dashboard editing privileges for your users, users can simply type their data-related queries into the Dashboard interface you’ve embedded in your application and immediately receive the data they need in easy-to-understand visualizations that make sense to them.

Features

  • Customizable Components- All components are open source, so the Dashboards widget is highly flexible in terms of both function and design.

  • Dynamic Visualizations - Empower your users to understand and explore their data stories by providing them with on-demand access to compelling data visualizations, from easy-to-understand charts and graphs to comprehensive pivot tables.

  • Single-Click Drill Downs - Give users instant access to the details underlying high-level data points, allowing them to gain critical context and uncover important insights in just seconds.

  • Split View - Dashboard tiles can be split to show two separate display types for the same query response in tandem (e.g. show a horizontal bar graph followed by a table containing the same data). This feature allows the user to easily see information at a glance and share data stories effectively.
